In response to the ongoing madness exhibited by humanity Today I called on my alter-ego the Lord of the Starfields to write a piece of prose on behalf of Mother nature.

The lines flowed quickly as if the spirits of all ancients was being channeled and in mere minutes it was done.

Now it’s time to put together the team or teams of conscious creative souls to compose the music and make the music videos etc..

Unlike philanthropic efforts of the past like Live Aid for example and the superstar packed songs “Don’t They Know It’s Christmas” or “We are the world” this cause will not be about raising funds or awareness on behalf of any group of humans. It’s a grass roots movement to raise awareness and speak on behalf of Mother Nature and will not rely on nor exclude big name artists.

Any creative artist who is genuinely moved and motivated by the words below is welcome to come on board and add their small or large contribution. There may be more than one team working on more than one song, video or project. The only stipulation is that all creative contributions wanting the official stamp of approval of the initial founders of this movement must apply or submit via Vociferous Music Productions  and each creative team will be limited to 27 people.

Although the cause is benevolent, absolutely heartfelt and sincere this is not a charity, Mother Nature cannot accept money, Mother Nature needs connection empathy and care from all humans. Therefore this it’s a for profit movement and any profits will be divided and distributed in an equitable transparent manner among contributing artists/creative/members of each team.

Teams members may be made up of writers, musicians, performers, actors, dancers, promotional professionals, video/filmmakers, designers, creative artists,  mixers, editors, and any and all technical crew working in or aspiring to work in creative fields

Seems the whole world is angry

Even those who have it all

We fight over ownership

While we trash our earth

We turn nature into plastic

Beauty into a commodity

Love into a game show

Conceit into celebrity

If Mother Nature was a person

She would be shedding tears

She would be tortured by the heart-ache

And weighed down with grief

We pump poison into rivers

Waste into the seas

Worship the stock market

While we kill off all the trees

There’s no road to hell

Paved with good intention

It’s a road to self destruction

Paved with bad ideas.

If Mother Nature was a person

But mother nature is all life

Every living thing

Every grain of sand

Every rock or running stream

When we disregard this mother

We deny our own true being

We disconnect from ancient wisdom

And cast a future of disease

But Mother will outlive us

Because species come and go

Extinct creatures have left fossils

What will our legacy be?

 

This year marks ten years since the release of the Magik & Mayhem album by AREA 27.

AREA 27 is a collaboration between Los Angeles based singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Shalien and yours truly (Rokk Lattanzio a.k.a. Lord Of The Starfields).

To say the title of the album was inspired by the true life events and experiences during the making of, would be a gross understatement. The back story could easily be the subject of an unbelievable novel if it wasn’t true. However we are all about letting the songs tell the story and letting the listener infuse the lyrics with their own subtext, so don’t expect a book or movie anytime soon.

As part of celebrating this anniversary I recently remastered the song ‘Human ALien’ from the album. It’s always been one of my personal favourite Magik & Mayhem tracks but was never released as a single or promted as a stand alone song in any way. Although the original still sounded great I’m particularly happy with the extra bit of liveliness and punch of the remastered versio; so it’s time release the newly remastered version to the universe. You can expect a video soon and perhaps even a specially packaged remastered AREA 27 EP with some rarities. I say perhaps because nothing in the AREA 27 cosmos is ever totally within our control. – Lord Of The Starfields
